Instead, it excels at deeper research and information gathering on specific topics. Here are a few ideal and not-so-ideal uses cases:
Use DEVONagent Pro for:
- Querying multiple sites or search engines at once. This casts a wider net, searching more efficiently than opening multiple search windows. Note the built-in Web plugin and search sets simultaneously search multiple sites.
- Searching for specific kinds of items like recipes, images, etc. using scanners or fine-tuning your search terms with advanced search operators and wildcards.
- Running scheduled searches to monitor web pages and find new information. Stay up to date on your topics of interest automatically.
- Loading saved searches to continue working with them. Review, process, or continue adding to your knowledge base at your leisure and convenience.
- Examining textual connections in the content of matched pages. Drill down into the Digest's topics to discover new perspectives.
- Exporting your results to share or use in other applications, including our own. Provide a rich text report of the results to your boss, colleague, or professor or add results to your DEVONthink database in a variety of formats.
Don't use DEVONagent Pro for:
- Finding the webpage of company X or product Y.
- Finding a very specific image or video.
- Finding the definition for a word quickly, e.g., on Wikipedia.
